The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) organized a seminar on UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and ISO26000 on July 20, 2011, in coordination with the KoreaProductivityCenterand the Global Compact Network Korea.
The seminar provided a forum for UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and ISO26000; and aimed to explore how human rights could be integrated into business management. It was also considered the workability of self-assessment tool for business enterprises to gauge their human rights compliance, which was developed by the NHRCK in 2009.
The seminar was designed into two sessions to concentrate effectively on the topics. The first session focused on UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the second session explored ISO26000 and workability of self-assessment tool.
