NHRCK Offers Human Rights Education to Public

The National Human Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea is now offering <Human Rights Education Courses for the Public> with aims to meet the demand for such education, to offer various amenities, and to make human rights education more widespread. (edu.humanrights.go.kr/humanfront)

 

<Human Rights Education Courses for the Public> offers five courses ("Understanding Human Rights", "Administration and Human Rights", "Preventing Disability Discrimination", "Preventing Sexual Discrimination", and "Understanding the Disability Discrimination Act") planned and produced by the Commission, free of charge to the public. These sessions are a natural follow-up to the previous sessions for public officials and teachers, and they have been prepared to fulfill the demands for human rights education throughout public sectors and Non-Governmental Organizations. Each course is composed of nine through fifteen 20~30 minute sessions.

 

Enrollment in the <Human Rights Education Courses for the Public> can be attained by accessing and signing in at the Human Rights Education Center website. Each courses has a capacity of fifty people, and a certificate will be issued upon completion of the course.

 

The NHRCK plans to further utilize the <Human Rights Education Courses for the Public> as a means to expand and provide various educational materials related to human rights.
