The National Human Rights Commission(Chairpeson Hyun, Byung-chul) conducted consultation patrolling at Gyeyang-gu office, Incheon on September 2, 2013(Monday) 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Conducting this counsel as part of "Visiting Human Rights Consultation", with Counseling Center counselors and counseling members(lawyers) participating, provides consultation on remedy the damage caused by discrimination and human rights violation by visiting local residents who find difficult to visit the Commission in/under several conditions of distance, time and walks of life, etc.
The main areas of counseling are related to:
- variousl kinds of human rights violations caused by government agencies, local governments and public agencies;
- various discrimination against multi-cultural families;
- unfair discrimination on the grounds of gender, age, pregnancy, migrant workers in the company;
- school violation;
- sexual harassment from bosses or colleagues within the company;
- denied employment, financial exploitation, harassment for the reason of disabilities;
- human rights violations and discrimination by assault, verbal abuse and so on in mental health facilities, nursing homes, etc.
