NHRCK hosted a forum on Implementation of the UN CRPD
o The National Human Rights Commission of Korea hosted a forum on measures to enhance implementation of the UN CRPD on 7 November 2014, at President Hotel.
o During the forum, participants discussed the Concluding Observations to the 1st State report of Korea on implementation of the UN CRPD, released on 3 October by the UN CRPD.
o The NHRCK, based on the various political implications discussed during the forum, will identify necessary legislations, policies, and institutions for strengthening domestic implementation of the UN CRPD and will make police recommendations and express opinions. In addition, the NHRCK will make continuous efforts for promotion of rights of and social perception on persons with disabilities.
