NHRCK carries out 2016 human rights education for military with the Ministry of National Defense
The 2016 Human Rights Education for Military by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea and Ministry of National Defense was started in a bid to prevent human rights violation in military and to create a human rights-friedly military culture.
The education, which started last year, will be provided to 3000 instructors for human rights in military for the next few years. The education program will be conducted for 16 times and it plans to deepen understanding on human right issues in military, seek right direction and effective implementation measures for human rights education in military, and enhance human rights sensitivity and capacity for providing eduction of human rights instructors in the military.
The Commission will continue to cooperate with the Ministry of National Defense to create a human rights friendly military culture and prevent human rights infringements by providing diverse education program.
