  • October 27~30 - Standing Commissioner Choi Kyeong-Suk visited the Philippines to participate in the International Advisory Board Meeting, Round Table Discussion on Educating Asian Leaders for Tomorrow and Graduate Ceremony for the Asia Leaders Program on November 11. The programs were co-organized by the UN Mandated University for Peace, Ateneo de Manila University and the Nippon Foundation. Standing Commissioner Choi visited the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines as well, and shared experiences of a national human rights institution and strengthened the cooperative base.
  • November 10~14 - Standing Commissioner Moon Kyung-Ran participated in the 6th Annual Meeting of ASEAN NHRI Forum in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 11 to 13 November 2009. During the meeting, Standing Commissioner Moon delivered a speech,  “How to Support and Strengthen the Role of ASEAN NHRI Forum for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in the Regional Level,” suggesting that the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) should play a key role in upgrading cooperation and integration among the countries in Southeast and Northeast Asia.
