The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) hosted a Partnership Building Program for Invited National Human Rights Institutions during 15-19 October for the sharing of best practices and experience and the enhancement of capability and cooperative network among National Human Rights Institutions.

This workshop includes seven human rights experts from national institutions in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Qatar and Mexico. It provided a platform for the presentation of activities and expertise for the promotion and protection of human rights in each country.

Beginning with the introduction of the NHRCK, participants and lectures had a rich discussion on various topics on investigation methods for petition, human rights violation cases, gender discrimination cases, human rights policy recommendations, information dissemination activities, and educational activities at the workshop. While learning about experiences of NHRCK, participants casually presented relevant cases in each country.

NHRCK will continue a series of this program for the promotion of communications and the information sharing among NIs so as to enhance the understanding of other NIs , develop human resource capability and build up a cooperative network among human rights experts on an international level.
