NHRC Solicits Papers on Human Rights (09-09-2002)

Any subject related to human rights, from 5 to 11 November


To advocate human rights and to encourage research in the human rights field, the National Human Rights Commission (President Kim Chang-Kuk) is soliciting papers on human rights.To qualify, you must be a researcher in the field of human rights (incl. B.A., M.A., and Ph.D students) and/or are currently working in a human rights related organization.The subject of the paper maybe anything related to human rights.


Those who wish to turn in a paper must do so between 5- 11 November by either sending an e-mail or post mail, or by submitting the paper to the NHRC in person.Papers submitted by mail, must be postmarked no later than the 11th.


After the Commission has examined the papers, the NHRC will award 3 prizes: the Grand Prize (1 person, award of 5 million won and a medal),  Award of Excellence (3 persons, award of 2.5 million won and a medal), and Work of Merits Award (5 persons, award of 1.5 million won and a medal).
