The Asia Pacific National Human Rights Institutions Regional Conference on Business and Human Rights will be held on October 11-13, 2011in Seoul, Korea, by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) and the Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions (APF).
The conference is organized to provide a forum for national human rights institutions (NHRIs) to discuss trends and issues of business and human rights in the Asia Pacific region, and to enhance the capacity of NHRIs to promote business respect for human rights as well as to share good practices from across the region, in accordance with the Edinburgh Declaration, adopted in 2010 by the 10th Biennial Conference of the International Coordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions (ICC).
It is anticipated that over 150 representatives from NHRIs, international organizations, businesses, government and NGOs will participate in the conference.

The ICC Bureau meeting and the ICC Working Group on Business will be held each on October 10 and 14, 2011 in conjunction with the regional conference.
