The NHRCK Greets New Secretary-General Ock Shin Kim

On 5 October 2009, the National Human Rights Commission of Korea greeted new Secretary-General Mr. Ock Shin Kim.
Mr. Kim was admitted to bar in 1979 and served as a judge for 10 years. From 1997 to 1999, he worked as a senior judge at the Jeju and Incheon District Courts. From 1999 to 2009, he was a commissioner of the Incheon Metropolitan Election Commission.
On his appointment, he expressed that he will make utmost efforts to provide effective remedies for human sufferings and to integrate people’s needs into various policies and laws for the promotion and protection of human rights.
