Lunch concert in celebration of the World Refugee Day (June 20) and the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
A lunchtime concert was held on June 19 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cheonggyecheon T2 plaza in celebration of the World Refugee Day and the 60th anniversary of the UDHR. The event, co-hosted by the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) in Seoul and Sungkonghoe Food bank, was the first in the series of special events organized by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea to celebrate the 60th birthday of the UDHR. With bands playing live music and citizens sharing rice-ball lunch, six people from socially marginalized group such as children, persons with disabilities, and refugees stood at the podium and read the articles from the UDHR.
