First anniversary of Daegu Regional Office (July 2)
The NHRCK celebrated the first anniversary of the Daegu regional office (Director Kwon Hyuk-jang) on July 2. The Daegu office has played an active role in enhancing human rights awareness and protecting the rights of local people in the southeastern region of Korea. The ‘2008 Daegu Peace and Human Rights Film Festival’ was held free of charge for all from July 4 to 6 in commemoration of both the first anniversary of the Daegu Office and 60th anniversary of the UDHR.
