NHRCK and the National Police Agency Co-publish Guidelines on Human Rights Protection
NHRCK (Ahn, Kyong-Whan) developed educational materials to prevent human rights violations in the assembly, demonstration and investigation process. It was part of an effort to promote and develop educational materials in the police activities and criminal investigation area. What is meaningful is that the co-publisher is the National Police Agency, which is a target group for human rights education (Department of Defense is included as well in the investigation area).
NHRCK will utilize the same material in the human rights education program for the Police and trainers who conduct human rights education to the police. The NHRCK is hopeful that this material that was developed in close consultations with the Police Agency, can be used to actually improve the human rights situation in criminal  investigations and in carrying out police duties during assembly and demonstration. NHRCK will further extend its efforts to prevent discrimination and human rights violation by developing human rights educational materials and programs in the correctional and welfare facilities and in every sector of society including the legislature and judiciary.
