Chairperson AHN Kyong-Whan offered a special lecture on human rights to the medical students at Yonsei University on September 10, 2008. Staring with an introduction of the Commission, his lecture focused on the right to health, which is guaranteed by the Article 12 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), “The States Parties to the present Covenant recognize the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.”
