Chairperson AHN Kyong-Whan of the NHRCK participated in discussion forum on human rights of the mentally disabled on September 3, 2008. To prevent discrimination and human rights violation of the mentally disabled such as involuntary or unnecessary of long-term hospitalization, he sugg ested reforming the current human rights situation through improvement of mental health services and the legal system.
