The NHRCK launched a “600,000 Readers Campaign” for the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights.

“Universal Declaration of the Human Rights” was adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948. The United Nation launched the “Know Your Rights 2008” campaign for the 60th anniversary of the UDHR.

The NHRCK developed a website for people to easily access and learn about the UDHR. The website contains diverse content including the history and meaning of the UDHR and a human rights quiz. English and other language versions of the website will be opened soon. The NHRCK also hosts diverse campaigns including special lectures, quizzes, and UDHR Relay Human Rights Classes.

The “600,000 Readers Campaign” is available at http://udhr60.humanrights.go.kr
