The Commission launches an investigation into detainees' suicide to protect their right to life, as around 17 of them commit suicide every year. The official investigation will focus on discovering detainees who have signs of suicide and whether correctional institutions have management systems on this matter, discovering whether they have appropriate consultation systems for the mental instability of detainees who have signs of suicide, and investigating human and material systems to prevent suicide including whether they have appropriate emergency measures when finding detainees who try to commit suicide. Throughout the investigation, the Commission will attempt to prevent detainees' suicide accidents and protect their right to life.
