The Commission held a discussion forum on the rights of foreigners who possess an entertainment visa (E-6 visa) on October 22, 2008. The Korean government has discussed improving the concerned policy since the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Korea and the police arrested a club owner for forcing foreign entertainers who had entered Korea with entertainment visa (E-6 visa) into the sex industry and locking 12 Filipino women in a room in 2002. However, as undocumented foreigners increase, petitions filed to the Commission have increased. Thus, during the discussion forum, experts from various groups sought policy suggestions for the rights of foreigners who enter Korea with entertainment visa.
