To celebrate the 60th anniversary of UDHR, from December 7 to 14, the Commission hosted the ‘Human Rights Film Showing’ with 100 schools and public libraries.
Around 100 libraries from elementary, middle, and high schools–along with universities and public libraries--in 15 provinces participated in this ‘Human Rights Film Showing’ and 29 films were screened including ‘Never Ending Peace and Love’ (Director, Park Chan-Wook) dealing with discrimination against migrant workers, ‘The ‘Weight’ of Her’ (Director, Im Sun-Rye) dealing with discrimination against physical appearance, and ‘Hey, Man’ (Director Jang Jin) dealing with prejudice against the minority community.
On human rights day, the Commission also played an animation, ‘If You Were Me- Anima Vision 2’ which deals with family in a multicultural society, women, and the visually impaired. The Commission hopes this ‘Human Rights Film’ raise human rights awareness. Information on film-showing libraries is available at library.humanrights.go.kr.
