From 28 August to 28 November 2008, the Commission held a training session for human rights educators from the fields such as public administration, military, and social welfare. The session was in response to an increased demand in human rights education following the enforcement of the Disability Discrimination and Right Relief Act and the obligatory human rights education in the Mental Health Law.

The session was held in six separate fields of public administration, military, corrections, mental disability, police, and immigration. Some 230 public officials and practitioners in related fields participated. The session covered topics including understanding human rights, introduction of the Commission and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, thematic case studies, and education content development. The Commission has further plans to hold training courses for human rights educators.
