November 23~24- The NHRCK nominates and awards “The 10 Human-Rights Friendly News Reports” to promote media professional’s continued interest in human rights and to increase public sensitivity to human rights.
The NHRCK expects that the awardees will ultimately be able to produce and broadcast programs which have a positive influence on the promotion of human rights.
The target media of this project include newspapers, TV programs, new media and periodicals. The news reports must have been released during the period of November 2008 to October 2009. The nomination and selection process will be carried out through recommendations by relevant authorities, monitoring the actual contents of news reports. The awardees are to be announced on 24 November 2009.
