Investigation into Mental Hospitals on the NHRCK’s Own Motion

The NHRCK conducted on its own motion investigation into mental hospitals and decided that the hospitals violated human rights in breach of proper legal procedures in hospitalization and discharge of patients. The NHRCK issued the recommendation that the Public Prosecutor General accuse the director of the hospital, and advised the Minister of Health and Welfare, governor, and mayor of the region to take appropriate administrative measures.
