The NHRCK provided on-site free legal counseling on human rights and medical care for the homeless on February 24. The Commission has been deeply concerned about the human rights conditions of socially vulnerable groups and provided on-site counseling since its establishment in 2001. The recent on-site counseling was to provide the homeless with guidelines of the rights and remedies, and to grasp the status of the rights of the homeless in order to develop relevant policies.
The counseling tour was accompanied by investigators and counselors of the NHRCK, lawyers, experts, as well as counseling and protection center. Doctors of Incheon Hyo Hospital joined to offer free medical care to check the health condition of the homeless.
