The NHRCK will co-host Human Rights Leadership Academy along with Seoul Metropolitan Council and Busan Metropolitan Council for the councilors on October 27-28 and October 7-8 respectively.
Although the activities of local governments are closely related to human rights of their residents, there has been no opportunity for the councilors to receive human rights training through an organized program. Thus, the NHRCK established Human Rights Academy to raise human rights awareness of the local politicians and support their activities as human rights promoters. The program includes discrimination, sexual harassment, multicultural issues in the region and etc.
