The NHRCK hosted International Symposium for the Advancement of North Korean Human Rights at Peterson Institute for International Economics, Washington DC, on September 8.
The symposium was attended by Robert King, the U.S. Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues, Hans-Johachim Hogrefe, the Democratic Staff Director, Human Rights Commission, U.S. House of Representatives to discuss the role of international community for the advancement of North Korean human rights.
The NHRCK will take reference to the discussion to its long-term policy roadmap on North Korean human rights, seeking continuous cooperation inside and outside the country.
