Last 25th of May, the Commission brought together 60 high school students and 19 teachers and citizens from across the country to organize the 5th monitoring group for school curriculum which monitored curriculums for 6 months.

This workshop discussed overall assessment on human rights education surrounding cases of monitoring the descriptive perspective on socially deprived and minorities in the school curriculum revised in 2013.

The Commission encouraged improvement through consistent monitoring of the revision process of school curriculums initiated in 2009 and through policy recommendations on the issues concerning pictures and descriptive methods and related documents that are not compatible with human rights standards.

Concerning the issue, the Commission on last September 6th made recommendations to the Ministry of Education and municipal, provincial offices of education to address curricular cases that are not compatible with human rights standards and provide human rights training to school curriculum editors and publishers.
