o The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) decided to conduct an ex-officio investigation on 7 August at the Standing Commission on inappropriate irrationalities in army such as violence and cruel acts, and the management system of solider in concern.
o The NHRCK will devise a measures to prevent recurrence of such evil practices and structural problems in army by conducting an ex-officio investigation into 4 base camps at which significant human rights violation recently occurred.
o The NHRCK will continue to actively investigate into and take an action against human rights violation in army such as violence and degrading treatment.
