- NHRCK made recommendation to prevent recurrence of such violation -
oThe National Human Rights Commission of Korea(Chairperson, Hyun Byung-chul) concluded that it is a violation of privacy that the respondent, a public official in charge of complaints handling, transferred related information including private information of the complainant without consent to the party concerned.
o Accordingly, the NHRCK made the following recommendations to the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future planning: give disciplinary warning to related persons; conform to the procedure of consent acquisition for provision of private information; and provide training on related staff handling complaints.
