o The National Human Rights Commission of Korea(Chairperson, Hyun Byung-chul) hosted the second Human Rights Management Forum on 25 November, 2014 at Sogang University.
o This forum was co-hosted by the NHRCK and the Sogang Institute for Legal Studies and aimed to promote human rights-oriented management culture at SMEs as well as to encourage companies to voluntarily adopt human rights management. During the forum, result of the survey on current status of human rights management at SMEs was presented and subsequent policy improvement measures were discussed.
o At the forum, Professor Lee Sang-soo of the Sogang University who have conducted a research commissioned by the NHRCK presented result of the survey on current status of human rights management at SMEs and policy improvement measures.
o The NHRCK, based on the policy implications discussed at the forum, will identify improvement areas for related legislations, policies and institutions, and will make policy recommendations and express opinions. Moreover, the NHRCK will continue to make efforts to promote social consensus on human rights management by companies.
