The National Human Rights Commission of Korea hosted a debate on improvement of remedy and protection system for soldiers on May 14.
During the debate, participants had discussion on measures to improve military system for remedy including the current counseling and petition hearing system inside the military as well as supervising system including the ombudsman system for military which is under discussion at the National Assembly.
The Debate was open to public and anyone who are interested in prevention of human rights violation and remedy for victims in military was able to participate.
The NHRCK wishes that the debate served as an opportunity to devise practical improvement measures for human rights of soldiers in the military.
