NHRCK holds an exhibition of human rights book for children

The National Human Rights Commission of Korea holds an children’s book exhibition in order to allow children to experience diverse aspects of human rights.

 

The exhibition will open from June 8 to end of this year, starting from Jeongsun Education Library in Gangwondo to include 8 libraries across the nation and human rights experience center in four regional offices of the Commission in Busan, Gwangju, Daegu and Daejeon.

 

Since 2009, the Commission has been hosting exhibition of human rights books for children every year, and at this year’s exhibition, 200 books including picture books and fairy tales on understanding of human rights, human rights of socially underprivileged people including children and persons with disabilities, discrimination, and diversity.

 

The Commission plans to operate diverse programs including concert, book-reading and activities to encourage children to have more interest and understading on human rights.
