The Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (hereinafter "the Committee") considered the fifth and sixth periodic reports of the Republic of Korea (CEDAW/C/KOR/5 and CEDAW/C/KOR/6) in the Thirty-ninth session held on 31 July 2007.
The National Human Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea submits its position for the consideration of the committee.
The concluding remarked issues by the Committee have been attached here. The next periodic report will be submitted in January 2010.
