NHRCK Organizes Meeting to Enhance Quality of Military Healthcare System
The National Human Rights Commission of Korea(NHRCK) organized a meeting on May 25 to discuss ways to strengthen the military healthcare system and ensure the protection of the right to health of military personnel.
The meeting was organized to brief the audience on the outcome of the study conducted by the Commission last year on the current status of the military healthcare system for the protection of the right to health of military personnel. Experts who were directly involved in the study were invited to share the challenges identified by active-duty members in using healthcare services and propose solutions to better serve the members of the armed forces.
The meeting was streamed live through the Commission’s YouTube Channel.
The Commission hopes that the meeting provides an opportunity to identify the weaknesses of the existing military healthcare system and accelerate efforts to better protect the right to life of service members.
